PDO mono threads

PDO Mono Threads

What are PDO Mono Threads?

Mono Threads are a minimally invasive treatment that stimulates collagen synthesis to gradually tighten and rejuvenate the skin. Mono threads are made of a fine synthetic material called polydioxanone (PDO).  This material will dissolve over time and is completely eliminated from the body.

The purpose of Mono Threads is skin firming, skin thickening and rejuvenation. Mono threads are smooth, without barbs or cogs, so have no lifting capacity.

Threads are placed in the subdermal layer of the skin in a cross hatch pattern to become a support structure, allowing collagen and elastin production to take place.

The threads dissolve over a few months, leaving behind cylinders of collagen and elastin fibres.

Results can be seen in 6-8 weeks, with gradual improvement up to 6 months. Results can last for 12 months, but are dependant on individual client skin quality at time of treatment.

Mono thread treatments work very well with a good skincare and sun protection program.
